Takeover of Otto Lörch GmbH from Bühl, including the Lörch fruit brandy brand
Construction of a pioneering distillery plant in Sasbach to the highest EU standards with a 10 million litre tank farm
- Nicolai Benz, nephew of the Bimmerle family, takes over the company’s management
- Launch of the NEEDLE BLACK FOREST Gin brand
- Opening of a whisky wooden barrel warehouse with a capacity of 10,000 barrels
Expansion of the tank farm at the Sasbach site by a further 10 million litres
Launch of the WOOD STORK Spiced Rum brand

Our third-generation family business is one of the leading distilleries in the Black Forest. With our unique spirits, we occupy top positions in Germany and on the European market.

Five decades of success
The BIMMERLE PRIVATE DISTILLERY is the life’s work of company founder Günter Bimmerle. As a trained cooper and passionate Black Forest native, he discovered the diverse possibilities of our local fruit early on.
To this day, they form the foundation of our work. And to this day our aim is to create a wide variety of products that delight the palate and capture hearts.
